The Consulate General of the Islamic Republic of Afghanistan on April 22nd 2017, organized a gathering with the Afghan citizens residing in Los Angeles to consult and seek their advice on how to better advance our services.

On this occasion a large number of influential Afghans active in civil society, business and the media had attended. The event started by esteemed Sayyed Mahmoud Gilani reciting some verses of the Holy Quran. On behalf of all the Afghan-American community in California he condemned this attack and everyone prayed to the martyrs of 209 Shaheen Corps who were martyred due to the attack of armed insurgents on the Corps. Participants of the ceremony asked heaven for the martyrs and patience for their families from Almighty Allah. 

Honorable Abdul Majied Danishyar, Consul General of the Islamic Republic of Afghanistan in Los Angeles by delivering a brief statement referring to the bloody incident of Balkh, said the atrocities of the enemy against security forces would never demoralize the government or the people of Afghanistan. The Afghan government becomes more committed and determined to fight its enemies and achieve long lasting peace and stability.

This gathering stressed on the close cooperation between the Consulate General of Afghanistan in Los Angeles and Afghans residing in California to encourage exchange of ideas and provide this office with consultations in different area.
