Culture and Education
Through various initiatives, Afghanistan’s Consulate General in Los Angeles aims to provide authoritative information about Afghanistan to researchers, expand exchange programs to also include study and internship in Afghanistan, and facilitate cross-cultural activities to strengthen people to people ties between Afghans and Americans.
The Consulate General’s Afghanistan Resource Center provides authoritative data and information about Afghanistan’s culture, history, government, and political, security, and economic situation. The Center also connects you with universities, schools, think tanks, and people in Afghanistan. Students, other individuals, and institutions who conduct research on Afghanistan or is simply interested in having a conversation about life in Afghanistan can contact us via email@example.com. Subject line should be “Afghanistan Resource Center:” followed by the specific question/topic.
The Consulate General’s Collegiate Exchange program provides information about study and internship opportunities in Afghanistan and exchange programs between Afghanistan and the United States. This program connects Afghan and American universities and organizes collegiate activities via online or in-person platforms. Please contact us using the above email address if you have an interest to research, intern, or study in Afghanistan, or have an interest to invest in education of Afghans.
The Consulate General’s Tourism & Culture program encourages lovers of culture to think about Afghanistan as an attractive destination. Climbing a mountain in Panjsher; skiing by the Band-e Amir and looking at the tallest Buddha statues of the world in Bamyan; visiting The Citadel of Herat, the ancient and magnificent Blue Mosque in Balkh, or the beautiful rivers and natural sceneries of Paktia, Nooristan, Badakhshan and hundreds more places are breathtaking experiences.
