Please read the following points carefully before starting an application:

Afghan citizens:

  • Afghan citizens holding foreign passports in which Afghanistan is mentioned as place of their birth are allowed to visit the country without a visa.
  • Former Afghan citizens who have renounced their citizenship are not eligible for entry permit. They are required by law to have a visa to travel to Afghanistan.

All applicants:

  • Applicants’ passports must have at least six months validity and at least one blank page specified for visa.
  • All applicants have the option of submitting applications by mail, but they may be contacted at any time to attend in-person or online interviews.
  • Application submitted by mail must have been officially notarized by a public notary office.
  • Passports must be collected by the applicants or their representatives and for mail delivery a prepaid self-addressed return envelope should be included in the package.
  • Incomplete or unsigned application forms will not be processed.
  • Complete application and or meeting all the mentioned requirements does not necessarily mean a visa is guaranteed. It is solely the right of the consulate to issue a visa or reject any application at any time without provision of any clarifications.
  • Applications for minor age should be signed, submitted and collected, by parents, legal guardians or their representatives. A parent or legal guardian statement must provide all the information about purpose of journey, duration of stay, complete address and contact number in Afghanistan and their consent for their children’s visit.
  • All fees paid for the visa applications are non-refundable irrespective of the outcome of the application.
